Jessica ~ I found your site through another. I have that same book on my bookshelf, have had it for many years and never read. I'm honestly not sure why I bought it. After my mom died (nearly 20 years ago) when I was 12, she would often "check in" on my sister and I who shared a bedroom. I totally believe in these "visits" from loved ones. I think they check on us as much as they give us comfort. I always felt safe knowing that Mom still checked on us at night. I pray that you continue to find comfort in your journey.

Hi Jessica,
I think it is wonderful that you are sharing your complete experience with all of us. As for being a "nutcase"... I have never had anything as REAL happen to me as you have, but I have always been confident that there is another life coexisting (so to speak) among us. Maybe you and I and some other "nutcases" can have some out-there conversation in Orlando. And should you need a little Hurler lovin', Edie is always up for attention. I'm really looking forward to meeting you.

Dear Jess,
I'm kicking myself for not writing this sooner but the day I wrote to you about looking over your pages, I did notice the rainbow and thought you had so perfectly captured that spiritual moment within Kaity's page!!
I couldn't get over how perfect every little thing was on it!!
I am so glad that you found that book and it opened that door. I hope you can now feel the peace you felt the day Kaity gained her wings! ((((((HUGS))))))))))
Only Two more weeks and that will be a real HUG!!!!

Dear Jessica,
When we arrived in Durham shortly after Caterina's diagnosis, a distant friend suggested I contact a lady who believes she has had contact with those who have gone. At the time I had no idea that she had these "abilities". I spoke to her extensively and she gave me alot of strength. She has a book which I will recommend- "Beyond these Four Walls" by Mary Occino. After reading your journal entry, I could not help but think that you would enjoy it very much. It talks alot about the significance of dreams, particularly as she strongly believes and has experiences that she feels prove they are communication from loved ones who have gone. Your entry really touched me. I am sure Kaity is sending you messages. I am so happy that you found the book you did, and that you are seeing such sings. I think you would enjoy Mary's book... She is a very spiritual lady, and has wonderful thoughts about our lives. Just a note to let you know I can share your visions and I believe everything you are saying to be true. You are blessed! I think of you often. The butterfly sleeps above Cati and my bed every night. With love,

Just stopping by to say hello and hope you're doing well. I know you miss Kaity! I love the information on her Star. We have recently been educated about the night skies, stars and constellations...we took Hannah to the Morehead Planetarium here at UNC-Chapel Hill - since Lindsey is hospitalized here. She loved it (and so did we). We found out all about Orion the Great Hunter. I can't wait to show Hannah Kaity's webpage and her star. Take care...kle

Hello Jessica - I have taken oh maybe 3 months to work up the courage to read your journal. Your thoughts and emotions felt as if they were my own. I have wanted to read your journal and be supportive with a post and then would find myself overwhelmed with the emotions that I know you are feeling. The road in front of you is ever changing. For some reason we are always looking for answers to questions - we walk each day and wonder if our friends and family are going to question what are you going to do next? How are you doing? I perhaps have not been able to post because the journey after a loved one or child passes is painful. Knowing your path personally - I was worried you would read between the lines of my post I was worried that your insightfulness would recognize words for just words and see other emotions attached. The loss of my family to illness is one difficult blow - but I have also lost 2 children in miscarriages - one late into the pregnancy - I cannot explain to you the well of emotions that surround me when I watched my child with no breaths to be shared here on earth.

The journal you keep for families to share - allows those that wish to support and understand the path you have traveled feel closer to you and closer to an understanding of Kaity and her life with MPS. I am happy that there are families finding comfort from your words. I am more happy if the words you write are bringing comfort for you. If your words are slowly bringing you on a path of answers to where next in life you will be found then that brings happiness too.

You mentioned to the Pastor, "I just made the Best of It" -how simplistic it sounds and still very profound. If we did not make the best of it - our day would be so very very dark.

For tonite - this tired soul wanted you to know that your wonderful gift of words and unconditional caring have been heard through your posts and throughout your journal.

Thank you for sharing - thank you Kaity for letting me share my tears over your story. May God give both of us mothers the continuing light of hope and belief.

Hi Jess, (((Hugs and Kisses)))
I just wanted to let you that I enjoy your journal entries each week, and sure wish we lived closer to each other. I don't work per say a 9-5 job, and I could really help you stay busy taking care of yourself and others. :-) As for school, just maybe that would be good. Something new for 2005. Also I wanted to let you let know that Sunday this past week while working at the Farm, I had 3 of the prettiest lady bugs settle down on me while I was outside finishing my work. All within 2 minutes or less of each other. Who did I think of first? None other than Kaitybug! All I could do was smile, then think of you!
I am looking forward to seeing you at the Conference! I will be keeping you in prayer that you find comfort, joy and motivation when it seems not to be there!

Love you Jess, ((hugs))Thanks for the Forum and bringing so many people together for such special times.

Jess, I know I only met you once, but since the day I met you, you have been in my heart. Remember you have too many people standing behind you to support and love you. I'm one of them. Your in my thoughts and prayers.
